Would anyone like to try the new Arcanis D&D 5e rules? There are several adventures, basic rules, and pre-generated characters that have been tested, most especially at Winter Fantasy. I think it would be fun to give it a shot before and/or after ArcaniCon. Pedro said that if we get enough interest for one or more tables, he'll give us the material to run it.

Update: Because I didn't get enough interest before ArcaniCon, I didn't get a copy of the rules & mods to be able to do this.

(I discourage debating here in this thread which game system is better, and I really like PCI's attitude of having parallel co-existing rules sets. My suggestion of trying D&D 5e is not meant as a negative towards ARPG rules but is curious interest in trying the new 5e rules with other players who know Arcanis well.)

Updated mods & players in first post. Looks like we have four for a table of Thief in the Library with Akira judging.

If the BI that Chappel is trying to put together doesn't go off I'll be looking for a table (3 players and 1 GM doing a BI? No thank you.)

I wanted to give everyone an update on the schedule for Arcanicon to help organize your pick up games. We will have the 2 slots Friday afternoon and evening, as normal. The special will be a 2 rounder starting about 1 on Saturday, leaving Sat morning free for a pick up game or to possibly run pick-up tables of the 2 offered mods in case someone could not make a slot on Friday.

Thanks for the schedule update.

What time will the games start on Friday?

I'd be up for a pickup game Friday morning, Saturday morning, and/or Sunday morning.

I'm down to only missing a few mods on Ss'kethis so I'd love to get in at least one of these:
HP2-4 Visions of Lives Past
SP2-6 Edge of the Knife (though I've heard it is terrible)
SP2-8 To Die Alone
SP2-9 In Plain Sight

Failing those, G'hyu'thyh needs almost everything from arc 2:
SP1-12 Thousand Words
SP1-13 Espionage
everything from arc 2 except:
SP2-2 Elements of Faith
SP2-3 Horror Within

We have a table of 4 looking for a judge to run on Thursday. We are hoping to play A2HP02 - That Which Lies Beneath starting at 1 PM and A2HP03 - Ancient Battles Unfinished starting after that. There would of course be a dinner break and any judge willing to help out would be treated to drinks, snacks and dinner. If you can only run one game, that would be great as well and we will still treat you like the king or queen you are. We would also be able to accept two more players. Thanks for considering, and we are looking forward to seeing you all at the con!

At the moment it looks like our only open slot for a pickup game is Saturday morning. My group is driving up Friday morning and will be leaving before noon on Sunday. I'm curious as to what people might be looking for and me or John could probably GM if needed. I can pretty much play or GM anything at this point having played through most of the available mods with at least one character. The only ones I've not played at all are:

Arc 1: Crusade!
SP6 "What Lies Beneath" by Cody Bergman
SP8 "The Bramble Labrynth" by Anthony Nijssen
SP11 "Cache" by Lucas Amodio
SP15 "To Slip the Surly Bonds" by Anthony Nijssen
