That is the party line. Of course Andhar is Yig. Yarris may be older than the other deities in the PoM. Etc etc |

I was just clarifying some typos in the old Codex that said Sarish was son of Beltine/Neroth and I think that was supposed to be Cadic. John |

John, You presume that it was a typo. I assure you it was not. |

For what I'm doing, it's not critical but it is interesting. Perhaps he was 'reborn' in some way through Beltine/Neroth (which would make sense given their portfolios) or vice versa with Cadic/Larissa. John |

All that follows is purely speculation. On that note, of interest: Larissa and Saluwe both say "Mother of Sarish". Cadic and Neroth both say "Father of Sarish" in their entries. Further, the val'Sungha are (supposedly) descended from both Larissa and Sarish (Codex, pg. 58), while the val'Baucisz are (supposedly) descended from both Saluwe and Sarish (Codex, pg. 61/62). But there's reason to suspect that the val'Sungha thing is a whitewash of the Mother Church of Coryan to 'explain away' (without having to really deal with) the fact that the val'Sungha may not even be descended of a Valinor at all (or the True Kio are Valinor who are not bound/in service to any particular god?). This might make more sense if Valinor may be bound in service and/or imbued with the essence of more than one god. I refer you to page 4 of the original Codex, regarding the Valinor of Sarish who were 'neutral' but who acted as mercenaries and were favoured by other gods with power, as something to consider. Damn. Just doing a search for Sarish in the Codex has raised a whole lot of questions for me. I need to reread this thing, as a whole and then thematically to make sure I don't miss anything again.... As though I didn't already have enough to do... |

Well, I recall Henry saying that the val'Sungha were Kio + Val'(any) = val'Sungha or Kio. As such, the val'Sungha are not (directly) descended from any Valinor. I recall hearing (somewhere) that the Val of X and Y was from an older story thread where the minor lines were from mixes of existing lines instead of their own families, but that seems to have changed themeatically. That said, Sarish is a strange one. In fact, to me it seems that Sarish is the only God who seems to actively involved in events on Onara. |

We have to determine not only whether it was true or deliberately misleading when it was originally written, but also whether it is still true or still deliberately misleading or no longer true despite once having been so, or true despite once having been misleading... My brain would hurt if it weren't already hurting from other convoluted plans. |
