Hello Arcaniacs!
Registration for ArcaniCon 2014 is now live. Please follow the link below, no pushing and shoving.
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1VgLntF … k/viewform
Please also spread the word, repost, tweet, e-mail, word of mouth, whatever you can do for your fellow players because not everyone is back on the forums yet and we don’t have any other direct contact for many of you.
We will let people know when we reach the player cap and start a wait list. Please also remember to book your room at the hotel (http://arcanicon2014.hotelplanner.com).

October 6, 2013 at 10:31 pm #251262AnonymousInactiveIf you clicked submit, you should be registered, yes.
October 7, 2013 at 7:59 pm #251267AnonymousInactiveJohn you are registered, no worries
October 7, 2013 at 8:19 pm #251268AnonymousInactiveHaven’t gotten a confirmation email yet, but I think Amanda and I are registered. . .
Do we have a source to see how many people are registered, as there are a limited number of seats available?
EDIT: I don’t know about other people, but when I go to the link it says “ArcaniCon 2013“
October 7, 2013 at 8:40 pm #251269AnonymousInactiveYou’re registered as well, Cody.
Unfortunately, a triggered confirmation e-mail wasn’t easy to incorporate. We’ll be providing updates along the way to let people know how many people are registered. We are currently at 32 people registered, with 14 rooms accounted for.
October 7, 2013 at 8:41 pm #251270AnonymousInactiveThere are no confirmation emails going out at this time, The form doesn’t support that. if you get to
“We have received your response. Stay up to date on Arcanis news by visiting the forums at http://www.paradigmconcepts.com”We have received your registration
if you have questions , email me at samhain at gmail dot com and I can take a quick look at the reg stuff and let you know where you are at.
and I’ll let folks know when we get close to registration cap we are more than thirty and less than fifty right now, so there is still plenty of room. But I will be keeping people up to date ( or at least prompting tony to )
Fun fact, of all the people that have registered thus far, only the the people that I know to be Canadian have neglected to put down an address, so I’m lead to believe that Canada has no addresses only Zuul and snow (and maybe the snow is really stay puft marshmallows )
October 8, 2013 at 11:29 am #251274AnonymousInactiveeveryone in Canada lives in one big commune so they assume we have the address

October 8, 2013 at 3:58 pm #251286AnonymousInactiveWell, I’m sorry but I’ve had issues in the past with people in the USA when I place my address. For some reason they have issues with:
Cody Bergman
About 100 m left of the big cliff by Bob’s House
Way up there in the cold wastelands
Alberta, Canada
T1X 1C0October 8, 2013 at 4:18 pm #251288AnonymousInactiveLooks legit
October 15, 2013 at 9:26 pm #251408AnonymousInactiveAlright everyone. A little bit of a slow start to getting people signed up for this, but that’s okay. We still have 46 spots available for players to sign up. I know a lot of people are holding off to assess their finances and whatnot until after Christmas, but remember that it costs you nothing to put your name down.
We’ll probably do a confirmation e-mail in mid-January to double check and let people back out if they don’t think they’ll be able to make it.
Trust me, this is going to be something different than you’ve seen before. Should be a lot of fun.
October 17, 2013 at 12:38 am #251441AnonymousInactiveI’m now registered and have a hotel room reserved. However, airfare to Detroit may make me rethink going. I pretty much always fly business class because I’m tall (coach ranges from quite uncomfortable to I literally can just barely fit into the seat) and business class to Detroit is stupidly expensive ($1500 which really makes no sense since I’d be going from a Delta hub to a Delta hub). I can fly to Orlando for 1/3 the price I can get to Detroit (even Cancun is about half the price of Detroit). Even coach is around $400 for Detroit.
For next year, can Arcanicon please be somewhere other than Michigan? I’d love to see Minneapolis area but, realistically, I know there are lots of players in Ohio and Michigan – what about Chicago (again)? Kansas City would also work well for me.
October 17, 2013 at 11:52 am #251448AnonymousInactiveHave you considered MegaBus? I took it to Chicago last year for ArcaniCon and traveled 7 hours. It was actually a comfortable and timely way to travel and cost about $50 each way.
October 17, 2013 at 1:18 pm #251450AnonymousInactiveJohn that’s not a bad idea me and Linds might do that….
October 17, 2013 at 3:38 pm #251458AnonymousInactiveThe bigger concern is the time. I would never take a bus – I’d just drive but it’s a 10 hour drive iirc. I could (and might) do that but it means taking off 1-2 extra days (depending on what time events start on Friday and what time events end on Sunday).
Speaking of which, is there any info available on when events will be running at Arcanicon (especially when they start on Friday and end on Sunday)? That would help me figure out possible alternatives to air travel.
edit: A quick Google search shows several people complaining about lack of legroom on Megabus if you are “taller than average” so it’s probably not an option for me.
