Is it possible to get the lunar phases (which I believe were in the Codex) too?

    1. Coruscus (Gleaming) – Associated with Illiir?
    2. Lampyris (Spring Tide)
    3. Libidine (Green Even) – Associated with Saluwe’?
    4. Doctus (Counting)
    5. Dirigo (Summer Tide)
    6. Anguis (Wandering) – Associated with Anshar
    7. Foedus (Promise)
    8. Vires (Autumn Tide)
    9. Caligo (Shadow) – Associated with Cadic
    10. Pallidus (Barrow) – Associated with Neroth
    11. Anima (Cauldron) – Associated with Beltine
    12. Muto (Winter Tide)

Because we have the First Imperium Dates coming to us using “The X of the Sun, the X of the Flame, the X of the Lady”, I thought I’d start trying to associate Coryani Dates with the Imperium calendar.

I think it works with Illiir, Saluwe’, Cadic, Neroth, Beltine, Anshar, and Althares. Ideas for Nier, Hurrian, Larissa, Sarish, Yarris? There is a 13th Month, which is somewhat ominous too.

Okay, thanks to acurrier I now have access to the calendar information (fear my power!):

    1. Coruscus (Gleaming) – Associated with Illiir, begins on the Vernal Equinox
    2. Lampyris (Spring Tide) – Associated with Saluwe’
    3. Libidine (Green Even) – Associated with Larissa
    4. Doctus (Counting) – Associated with Althares, summer solstice begins at the beginning of the month
    5. Dirigo (Summer Tide) – Associated with Nier
    6. Anguis (Wandering) – Associated with Anshar
    7. Foedus (Promise) – Associated with Sarish, Autumnal Equinox in middle of month
    8. Vires (Autumn Tide) – Associated with Hurrian
    9. Caligo (Shadow) – Associated with Cadic
    10. Pallidus (Barrow) – Associated with Neroth, winter solstice in later half of month
    11. Anima (Cauldron) – Associated with Beltine
    12. Muto (Winter Tide) – Associated with Yarris
    13. Numen (Pondering) – Associated with the Emperor (of Coryan), vernal equinox could come in last two days of month.

Each Viridis (Green Moon) month is a little over 3 Coryani months which means there are 4 “Green Months” a year.

Each Aperio (Dark Moon) month is about one Coryani Month, with each “Calendar Month” beginning just after Aperio become full.

with the new months used in the Blessed Lands arc I often am guessing if it’s winter or spring so it’s hard to say what is or is not harvestable as a GM.

    Tangent…

Has there ever been a mapping given for the Blessed Lands months to the “old” calendar? It would be useful for ordering modules by campaign date (though some of them seem to be wrong (in Crusade arc, there are several modules that are out of order if you go by the given campaign date)).

Continuing this from its original thread:

Arcanis has a solar year of 365 days (no known decimals as in our own calendar). In the Coryani Calendar this is separated into 13 months of 28 days, one for each of the twelve Gods and one for the Emperor (the last month, Numen).

The Blessed Lands Calender, on the other hand, is known to be split up into 30 day months, with 12 of these each lasting 30 days. This means that there are 5 days left over at the end, and these are the High Holy Days.

Now, assuming that the Calendars start at the same time (the Vernal Equinox), this means that the Month of the Sun and Illiir’s Coryani Month (Coruscus) are more or less equivalent. The next known month that we know of is the Month of the Flame, which to me is obviously that of Nier, followed by (that we know of) the Month of the Lady. We do not know exactly when in the year these fall, beyond the rough order. The next month we know of is the final month of the Blessed Lands Calendar, which is the Month of Storms, which would start in Yarris’ month of Muto and last through most of the Emperor’s own Numen.
