Blood on the Cloth

Plot:
The church of Milandir is on edge; one of the newly ordained clergy of the Fire Dragon has been found brutally beaten, another blinded. A group called Deus Humanum has taken credit for the assaults and promises worse to come unless the worship of the Fire Dragon is repealed. The Heroes are hired to find the base of those who would question Sabinus’ decree and lead a troop of Holy Knights to deal with the problem.

Potential Encounter Breakdown

Intro – The Heroes are let wander in the streets of Naeraanth, where they may shop and gossip, hopefully hearing news of the current unpleasantness.
E1 – The Heroes are escorted to a meeting with the acting head of the church in Sabinus’ absence, and the Head Priestess of the Fire Dragon who explains the situation and asks the Heroes to help.
E2 – Finding the perpetrators. Talking with the victims, the Heroes learn information from the two ss’ressen as to the identities of their assailants.
E3 – The Heroes track down and hopefully follow an individual matching a given description to a meeting of Deus Humanum. Or beat the information out of him. Whatever works.
E4 – The Heroes break up a meeting of the group, only to discover they’re too late… the next attack is already set and in motion. If the Heroes are clever, they can discover the target and arrive in time to save the High Priestess.
E5 – Rescuing the High Priestess of the Fire Dragon from almost certain death.

Potential Conclusions
