Plot:
Despite Elandre’s forgiveness of Aulus, or perhaps because of it, Paramonos val’Assante is incensed at both the Mother Church and the Heroes who contributed to his personal fall from favour. He has spent the better part of a year stewing, and hating, assigned to menial jobs that he feels are far beneath him. Finally, he is once again given a chance at command, and hunts down a heretic of Saluwe(?) whose power derives from a dark talisman that warps her body and mind into a murderous beast. Paramonos acquires the talisman with the best of intentions to bring it to the vaults of the Inquisition, but its power corrupts him. His targets are those he suspects of heresy; those on the edges of civilized society.
The Heroes are tasked to figure out who is killing hedge-witches and old hermits, discovering that it is in fact Paramonos.Notes:
–Paramonos should be portrayed as in conflict. The talisman fuels his urges, but at his core Paramonos struggles against it. He cannot give the item up because it is cursed, but he has not given himself over to it entirely either.
–This should be an opportunity for players to kill, damn, or redeem Paramonos. The conclusions should have these options.October 29, 2013 at 2:12 pm #251820AnonymousInactiveI’ll call dibs on this one.
