We’ve been housebound since Thursday night when the arctic blast hit Dallas. This has left me thinking about good wintery encounters. And so, I present to you…
The White Lady
The cadre is passing through a province at the height of winter. The people there are on edge, keeping close to their hearths at night. They tell the heroes the tale of a woman who appeared at the doorstep of the local lord with her brood of children, seeking shelter from the cold. The Lord of the manor was a heartless man and turned them away without a thought. The woman and all her children died of exposure during the night, their bodies discovered not far from the manor house.
Since then, when the winter storms come, the White Lady stalks the province seeking vengeance for her dead children. She appears as a woman dressed in tattered rags, her face burned rom frost. The cold, shriveled bodies of her dead brood still cling to her legs. The very touch of the White Lady can freeze a man’s blood cold in his veins.

That’s a compelling villain/monster with an interesting motivation and abilities.
So the gauntlet’s been thrown – what do you other Grandmasters have in your box of tricks that you’d like to share?
