    This thread is intended to be the compilation of all official and/or current interpretations of the rules as they stand for the purposes of the Legends of Arcanis shared campaign. Like the Official Lore Statements started in the Legends of Arcanis forum started by Southernskies, this will be an easy access repository.

    Posting this here though without quote or link due to it being lost to the old boards. This is a summary of StatMonkey’s reply on the subject.

    Undisciplined Psion (ba)
    You can not have any other spell casting at character creation as it is intended for people who have been awakened less than a month.

    While this changes your casting stat from In to Ch it does not relieve you of the required In to take Arcane Spellcasting: Psionic Talent.

    To answer the question, Can I use Masterful Defense(ta) and a Shield together?

    when I created Masterful Defense

    Special: You lose this bonus to Avoidance if you wear any armor.

    Shields are not worn.. but wielded..

    I admit, I should have spelled it out better, but yes, you can use shields with Masterful Defense..

    you may only take Loyal Companion once and improve upon that companion

    no place in the talent does it say you can take it more then one time and apply it to a different pet
