Help me out here…
I vaguely remember reading/hearing that Divine casting doesn’t actually have to roll to hit with a spell (if it targets Avoidance, only) because the spell is directed by the Gods…is that right?
Or…do you always have to roll to hit the target (unless they don’t resist, like a healing spell)?
Casting is by far my weakness in the ruleset.
January 27, 2014 at 9:34 pm #255837AnonymousInactiveYou must roll to hit if it’s an Attack spell.
January 27, 2014 at 10:25 pm #255847AnonymousInactiveA related question I keep forgetting to ask…
The roll to cast the spell (if necessary) is Primary+Arcanum but what is the roll to hit with the spell? I’m pretty sure I’ve always seen it run as Prowess+Arcanum but I can’t find it in the rules (likely I’m just overlooking it).
edit – found it literally seconds after posting – left here if anyone else has the same question…

Maybe it’s just me but I expect to see it in the “Wielding Magic” section (not the “Reading a Spell” section). To me, it’s a rule about casting the spell and not an explanation of a part of the spell.
However, I found it now (so I know where to look in future). Just a suggestion for if/when there’s a second edition…

As much as I hate to be that guy…
It’s affect, not effect. Affect is a verb, effect is a noun (quick and dirty definition).

You realize you’re correcting the Intermediate Deity of Typos right? The fact that it says Minor is in itself a typo.

Consider it one of Pedro’s endearing qualities.
With a sweep of his hat,
Paul
