So now that the hardcovers are rolling in, I’m setting to work creating a bookmark in the style of the one included in the CoC 5th Edition and Elric! GM Screen packs. For those of you who don’t know what I’m talking about, its basically a standard bookmark with condensed index of important topics to running the game on one side. I always thought it was an ingenious idea and have sought to replicate it in almost every RPG I’ve played since.
When its done, I’ll post it up for everyone to download and print. In the meantime, what do the rest of you find yourself referencing the most during play? There are a bunch of ways to go with this and it really isn’t beholden to the existing ToC or Index as far as I’m concerned. Here is a list of the topics I figure need hitting. You’ll notice I’m leading with the “Playing the Game” at this stage.

I dressed it down quite a bit from my original draft – I needed the space and didn’t want to kill any ink cartridges. I’m hoping it comes in handy for folks running the game; should keep us from having to keep flipping between the Index and ToC to find things.
If folks are interested, I can do a color version that’s a bit more stylized.
