Forged in Magic Errata Page 13 (Errata) Add the following sentence at the end of the first paragraph in Wands When casting a spell with a wand you are not required to have a free hand.

you should add this to Runstaves also

After look at the staff and thinking it over, you ARE going to need a free hand to cast when using a Rune Staff..

Think about the classic caster type.. hold a staff in one hand and cast.. it also allows you to use a wand in that off hand if you want to access a different wand rune

    Why so?

you can use them one handed and cast a spell.. as long as you are holding the staff you can access it’s wand runes..

I’ll see about clarifying it some how

well the description describes them as quaterstaves, a 2 handed weapon

Pedro you might recall we discussed this and your last note was “I’ll errata that in the morning”

    Ok…

I was thinking it over.. and I want players to be able to go “All Gandalf”…. thus the 3rd paragraph becomes….

This bond allows a caster to use the Rune Staff as a wand, allowing him to cast though the staff as if he had a free hand. Also while the Rune Staff is being used as a weapon (requiring both hands) the the staff’s runes provide their weapon benefits.

    clear enough?
