There have been many of us who have made our perfect characters. We have experimented with dozens of concepts to find the characters we like the best.

But what about you? What characters do you play when you get the chance? What type of character sings to you?

I heard tale that a lot of the PCs in the original campaign were their characters. Any truth to that?

Seeing as the campaign staff aren’t jumping at answering this one, I’ll take a crack at it.

I know that Pedro has made multiple references in the past to having a Cadician character. He made comments recently about the character being a two weapon fighting dagger type who also has archery, not sure what archetype etc. Pretty sure that in the 3.5 campaign the character was a holy champion of Cadic.

Henry, on the other hand, I don’t know if he even has a character…I’m not actually sure that he plays Arcanis (but I hope he does). I’m confident that he would be Coryani, and a worshipper of Illir. I’ve always suspected that Henry would lean towards an ‘old legionnaire’ type of character, grizzled and worldly. I suppose you could argue that most NPCs we’ve encountered (and several we haven’t) are his characters \":P\"

I’m afraid that I don’t have a clue when it comes to the rest of the PCI staff. I vaguely remember asking James about that a number of years ago, and if I remember correctly he just said something about not having a lot of time to play.

I have three characters right now, mostly I create them as a design exercise. One of them was a supporting character in my “game of thrones: Almeric” home game who became one of my favorite characters.. never got to tell his story in the home game, maybe I’ll cut my teeth on mod writing and tell the story in the campaign.

I’ll start with definition of crazy

    Demitri val’Mehan
Divine, Sorcerer-Priest, Initiate of the Gods, Flaw: Code of Honor (see below)

Sorcerer-Priest with a fractured soul of Gerhard Lohgin, a Fallen Knight of Milandir.

Demitri always argues with to himself (arguing with his Soul Fragment) every time a moral choice comes up. You see, Demitri would selfish and self centered if it wasn’t for the “angel in his head”

The fun starts when Gerhard Lohgin has had enough and calls his ancestral sword to his hand while being suddenly clad in “proper armor” (Swaps Background to Templar / calling of weapons + armor facilitated by the Call To Arms spell.) charging head long into battle as a “proper knight” should.

fun all around… I’ll post some of my other characters later

Last campaign I had a few characters… the notable one was a dark-kin warrior of the eternal flame.

In the current rule-set, I’ve yet to really create an ‘iconic’ character for myself (meaning, I usually create a half-dozen and see which resonates most with me). Largely because I haven’t played much in the last few years, whether organized campaigns or otherwise.

We were all too busy waiting for the next character description with baited breath \";)\"

Honestly though, I’ve always loved the Fractured Soul talent…just haven’t been able to think of a good way to work it into a character concept. It definitely does lend well to bipolar/multiple personality type characters though.

I have been playing around with ways to “extend” the talent… but I would apply a new flaw along the way.

been playing around with the idea of having the secondary personality have a set selection of skills which “advance” on their own (like 2 ranks per tier, based off the chosen background)

I just keep finding too many broken combinations :/ and have not found a way to control/balance them
