So I’m working on a character that is intended for a play test and they were going to use a quarterstaff. I wanted them to buy a higher quality one since I didn’t pick up Heirloom and well there is an issue its price is listed as -.

So does that mean Heirloom is the only way to get a higher quality staff, or any other items with – for the cost? If not then what do we use as the price to multiply by to get the cost, since free exceptional items obviously isn’t where this should go.

The minimum cost for an item to base higher level versions on is 10s. Therefore, for something marked ‘-‘ just use 10sp.

Thanks. I must have missed that when I glanced over the rules on it.
