    Hello everyone,

The shipping of books to backers has begun (both the Softback and the Special Hardback Editions) and I expect some people to start to receive their books as early as next week. So keep an eye out for them.

I hope you find the final product was worth the wait.

Got mine today. Have it at work eagerly digging through it. Well done Henry. By the way I really enjoyed your introduction. It’s always nice to see where the inspiration comes from. Ayers Rock is a really cool place.

So far so good. \":)\" Really liked the bit about the “twin towers,” the Citadels of Neroth and Beltine. That bit about sacrifices being “bound” to defend it is a nice bit. Even Leonydes gave it a wide berth. Of course playing a val’Ishi I’m drawn to this place like a moth to a flame…. \"\" I’d say it would be a good place to set a mod…hint hint \":)\"

. . . Mike, do I need to point out to you what happens to moths and flames? Are you sure this is something you want to ask Henry to write? \";)\"

Says the man who wants his character to walk through a huge pillar of fire… \";)\"

I do not see any issue with that. The true followers of Nier know that to walk through a pillar of His blood is a blessing. All who survive are more than they were before, and are closer to the divine than others.

You are talking about travelling to a place full of things that are trying to kill you for no greater reason than “UNDEAD THINGS (ARGHHHH!!)!” (my)Haakon goes for spiritual growth, (your)Haakon goes to run a marathon.

Hmm Undead things wanting to kill me…isn’t that part and parcel of what Beltinian Exorcists do? I mean it was on the job application. \":)\"

I could see clearing a Citadel of my goddess of things that should not be there to be the highlight of my career. Just as I’m sure your Haakon would love to reclaim the “lost” Citadel of Nier. Not to mention finding out what happened to a certain someone. \";)\"

Now just to be clear, Cody and I are engaged in some mild verbal jabs at each other and I’m not taking this too seriously. But still since we do we take the safe route in this game? Aren’t heroes? And yeah sometimes we do stupid stuff, but that’s all part of the game. \":D\"

For all I know the twin towers are Henry’s version of Tegel Manor (let’s see who gets that reference). My party never made it past the entrance as I recall. \":(\"

Had to do a web-search, but “Designed by generations of mad wizards and insane geniuses…” isn’t an encouraging start to the blurb.

Yeah it’s a Judges Guild product. I believe it may predate the more famous TSR Tomb of Horrors. Back in the late 70s early 80s as I recall. Old school D&D. \":)\"

    Hello Michael,

Tegal Manor, one of the deadliest dungeons I’d ever entered was firmly in mind when I wrote about the Twin Citadels of Beltine and Neroth. I got as far as the Foyer when the party was attacked by a dwarf vampire, if memory serves. At 4th level, my PC fled in terror. Never been back.

However, I wouldn’t attempt to capture the horror of the Twin Citadels in a mere 4 hour adventure. It deserves a full treatment that can only be afforded by a print adventure.

    Someday, perhaps.

LOL we got trashed in the foyer as well. Good times if scary ones. \":)\" And I agree that a Citadel could never be truly done in a four hour slot. Some things just don’t fit that format.
