Hello,
I’ve received two emails from players asking if I would offer, as a KS reward, to run a special table like the one we offered with the Cradle of Empires KS.
This would be a unique adventure, playable only to those six players and the results would become canon.
Is there an interest in this?
April 21, 2016 at 3:21 pm #272383frootsnaxParticipantAlmost certainly.

By which I mean you have 1/6 of a table right here.
April 21, 2016 at 3:43 pm #272384AnonymousInactiveGiven the objective of the Kickstarter, would this be a 5e table?
April 21, 2016 at 3:55 pm #272386AnonymousInactiveMaybe give the option for one rules set or the other.
April 21, 2016 at 3:57 pm #272388drafitParticipantHello,
I would certainly offer to run the table in either system. Of course, everyone at the table has to be playing by the same rules.
April 21, 2016 at 4:23 pm #272390frootsnaxParticipantHmmm…didn’t think of that. I am much less interested in a 5e table. Is there a way to coordinate or confirm the rule set before hand?
April 21, 2016 at 4:29 pm #272391AnonymousInactiveOne option would be to offer two sets of backer tiers (one 5e, one ARPG), or another would be to offer the whole table as a single backer tier, and the person who pays effectively dictates the system. In the latter case, presumably the person would be ‘buying’ the table for a specific group, which likely would all want to play in the same system.
Option 2 is the easiest, option 1 gives more versatility and less “up front” money from one person.
April 21, 2016 at 4:43 pm #272392drafitParticipantHello Eric,
No one is comitted to pay anything until the KS is over.
If interested, pledge, and before the KS is over I’ll contact each of the 6 backers and see. If you see that it’s a 5E table, you can cancel you pledge and you will not be charged.
It’s possible I could do it like Cody suggests, but frankly I doubt many, if any, will want to pay to play a unique 5E table for a campaign that hasn’t even started yet.
April 21, 2016 at 5:16 pm #272393AnonymousInactiveI am interested, but frankly with the exchange rate being what it is right now, I’d have to see what the pledge level was. Everything is about 25% more expensive for Canadians right now.
The other issue is that I can’t be sure of con attendance for the next couple years, so the only way I’d be able to play would be online (which I believe was an option for the last Kickstarter).
If you offer a table as a pledge option, I will definitely consider it.
April 21, 2016 at 6:42 pm #272394AnonymousInactiveIs this something that a table would have to get together before hand and arrange for one person to pay for the entire table (which is how it appeared to work last KS), or a situation where seats at the table would be available for purchase independent of the other players? So each person pays for their own seat at the table?
April 21, 2016 at 6:50 pm #272395AnonymousInactiveI believe both methods were used last time, and the exact nature of this go-around has not been announced yet.
April 21, 2016 at 8:04 pm #272399drafitParticipantHello,
I’d prefer to play these at either Origins or Gen Con as I’m not a fan of online play.
Eric – if there is a concern, you can try to get six people to agree here and once done, I’ll create a Reward Level that specifically states ARG and you guys can select it.
April 21, 2016 at 8:46 pm #272400AnonymousInactiveThis opportunity sounds exciting, and I am interested. For the last Kickstarter, I was dormant as a player and thus not caring as much as I do now about a unique play experience like this would be.

Response on the board might depend on things still unknown though. First, do we need to essentially have the table pre-mustered, because I know I can’t necessarily find 5 others interested in paying for a table like that (except maybe just through mustering for exactly that on the board). But if is pay by the seat, I might very well purchase a seat. Second, what is the cost for a seat? If we want a commitment here on the board before putting on the KS, we’ll need to know what cost we’re committing to.
April 21, 2016 at 9:29 pm #272403drafitParticipantNo one is committing to anything until they click on the Reward level and the KS ends.
If there are six players ready to purchase such a table, I would suggest that each purchases thei individual seat or not. I can also do an entire table of six under one reward level.
The cost would be the same as it was under the Cradle of Empires KS – $300 a seat or $1800 a table.
