If I’m making a Skill hero, can I give him armor with powers like Multiple Limbs, Armor, Resistance, (other non-burnout powers)?

*Given that I have the experience to do so*

Took me some digging up to make sure, but it looks like you can take those powers and call it “armor” per say.

However, since this character is a skill hero, the “armor” (and any powers under it) cannot take the Power Armor flaw (as it is restricted to Tech Heroes only). Such powers have to take External Power Source (and since you’re not a Tech Hero, you can only have 1 such power source) and one of the following: Cybernetic Implant or Removable. Additionally, you character cannot purchase more than 4 ranks of any powers under this “armor” at character creation.

Another restriction Skill Heroes must abide by are powers marked with “*”. These must have the All Skill Perk (vs. that of External Power Source + Cybernetic Implant/Removable).

Starting off it can look something like this –

[Example] Shiva Power arms (External Power Source +0, Removable +1, Linked +1)
    Armor 2[4]
    Multiple Limbs 2[4]
    Resistance [Electricity] 2[4]
Character/xp cost: maximum 9pts (this example doesn’t take Primary Powers discounts into account).

See if your Editor is using the Errata/FAQ. viewtopic.php?f=24&t=2658
As written in the book, the Skill Hero and Tech Hero Archetypes contradict with examples in the book and the External Power Source Flaw itself (this got worse with Survivor’s Guide). Quite a few ‘classic’ skill heroes were not buildable.

Without Errata, the Skill Hero gets 1 item with Powers… period (on top of the Allskill restriction of pLo total Powers)
