For the pyschometabalism discipline, at first level one is able to expend a mental foci for an expression that will double their proficiency bonus for one minute. Does this perform exactly as one would expect for a minute (as in both in and out of combat)? So for example if someone were to say, have a proficiency bonus of 3, double it to 6 for a minute, then use the deadly strike technique from a combat school they’d be dealing +12 damage on hits?

Since this is modifying the focused ability right above it, it should only apply to (Dexterity) Acrobatics or (Strength) Athletics checks. Being a generous GM at a table, I might allow it to apply to any Strength or Dexterity skill check, but I don’t see how you get to it applying to any check that uses your proficiency bonus. That doesn’t make sense in the context.

In response to your question, the answer is NO.
