When casting the spell, it states that “This spell closes all mortal wounds and restores any missing body parts”, could the spell bring back a creature that was disintegrated or otherwise nearly destroyed?
No.
It requires the majority of the body. It’s meant to regrow a lost hand, arm, leg, etc. It cant reconstitute a body that’s dust or been disintegrated. Of course, if this is for a Home Campaign, feel free to change as you like.
