When making a character using a background that grants weapon proficiency, but you already have proficiency in the listed weapon types (i.e Fighter with the Knight Aspirant background) what do you replace the Weapon Proficiency with? Tool, Skill, or something else?
From the 5E Campaign GuideCustomizing a Background: You may want to modify a background, so it better fits your character concept. You may replace your background feature with another, replace a skill, replace a tool/weapon proficiency, or replace literacy with an additional language.
