(2) I recall at least one tale of the Other arriving on the shores of Onara with bedraggled followers and some "degenerate" Valinor who he had managed to seduce away from the PoM. Can't lay my finger on it. I think the Valinor stay in the background of this tale until the PoM orders them to drive off the taller elorii.
This is from the Codex Arcanis pg 2. Written from the perspective of what the Church tells the common man. Except for your last sentence. Your last sentence is from an another source. That is from the attack on Akrosia and after. The Valinor were a big help in defeating Elder Elorii. The Fall of Akrosia is discussed in 3 places: 1 old campaign module, the printed book The Carnival of Swords, and with the Serentity of Beltine. So you probably got it from one of those sources.

I must be missing something here. What happens to the val'Inares
Between 50 and 60 years old val'Inares [SPOILERS] Also they feel an urge to travel through an Ansharan Gate to...somewhere. The family just says everyone over certain age becomes ill, eventually dying.
If Kassegore did join the PoM before they came to Onara, then his Val family hasn't shown to have the same tell. Which means he never did join the PoM, or he perfected his children while Yig couldn't. Althares and Yarris are the two best options if Kassegore did join the PoM.
