This is probably a question only Henry can answer, but has there ever been a list made of the various vassal families that work with the various Val bloodlines? We've seen a few mentioned in some of the mods but to my knowledge we've never seen a full list. It might be interesting to have for anyone who wanted to make a human character with a tie to a particular Val family. For instance a human squired to a Val knight could be from such a family, or a legate/tribune who owed his/her appointment to say the val'Assante. Just some food for thought. |

Okay I do recall this thread, I hope to see a more complete list. Although one probably does not exist. ![]() |

I personally do not see an issue with a player choosing to have their Human character be from a vassal family. Obviously, one would not be in a 'head of the household' patriarch or matriarchal role...but the same can be said for val heroes as well. Plus, I think it also encourages players to create Human characters in a 'val-centric' campaign. |

I made a Coryani Former Tribune...Cadician Sword-Saint. Special negotiator/Black Ops kind of guy. And made him a Gracchi. Sadly I have too many character already, I doubt I'll ever play him. |

Tell me about it. One of the things I enjoy about this system is building characters. But then I realize there's too many for too few mods... ![]() |

Both of my characters are part of vassal families. My primary is from the Otrecto family of the val'Dellenovs, and my Daughter of Calcestus is part of the Gracchi's. I like tying characters into this sort of world detail, it adds a lot. |

It's not specifically called out but in the Players Guide to Arcanis, there are "Selected Noble Family Lines:" in some of the sections relating to names, its not exactly what you want but it will get you closer. I absolutely love having the 3rd ed books as reference books, they have all sorts of gems in them! |

I also highly recommend people pick them up wherever they can (legally, and preferably from a source which gives PCI the money directly rather than a used store if possible, of course ![]() |
