Just something I noticed: On the VCP, one of the Rune options is a Fine Relentless Rune. These are only available in Exceptional Quality. |

You should also check the cost/value of the armor that rune is supposed to be attached to. Seems....excessive for a module award. |

Ok when we played this at Uconn, the discussion that came from it was yes it is a exceptional rune, but the armor was degraded to fine, you had to either spend 100 gp to fix the armor, or the gold cost to transfer it to another set of armor that is exceptional. <<points to tonys squabbles he calls handwriting on the cert>> |

Something that I did based on Cody's advice (the author) at two different tables. First the rune can be transfer for 4Gc (2Gc x Tier: FiM pg6) to another exceptional armor. The armor is Exceptional quality but because it states all the leather has been eaten away and not usable. It can only be sold for 1/100th of it's value. (30Gc). -OR- The armor can be repaired for 1% it's value (30Gc). This of course allows you to use it or sell it for the proper 1/10th it's value (300Gc). That is a great long term investment. This way the person who ended up with it would either transfer the rune, and sell the broken armor, or would save the 30Gc, and use the rune in the fixed armor, or save to transfer the rune, save to fix the armor then sell it for the instant gain. I believe all of these are good options. |

That assumes of course that you desicrate the grave of the dead in Ventaka. I can't imagine any arcanis players doing that... ;-p |

Wow that seems like an incredibly stupid and dangerous thing to do. Haven't played the mod but I know about Ventaka from the Canceri book and the earlier campaign. I really can't imagine any of MY characters doing that. Sounds to me like one of those actions that lead to character creation. ![]() |

Can't say if my players will or wont. I suspect not. In regards to the GM reward for running the mod, I assume the best way to deal with it is to simply not take it. But is there an alternative. As a Berokene, fire rune does not really do it for me, and celerity is not all that useful for my Combat maneuvers. So the Relentless would be the most useful, but I can cope if need be (besides as only T1.3, it would be a long time before it would activate anyway.) Regards |

For the GM reward it has to be an Exceptional Relentless Rune. That is Tier 2 rune which means that it won't activate until you reach Tier 2. Also personally I'd say you need to have an exceptional armor to put it in. I'm of the mind you can't hold onto runes alone. They need to be placed into something right away. |

Vault, My thoughts exactly on needing to have exceptional Armor for the rune. Also on this Mod. In the Nish market place, PCs can buy drugs and poisons, but no price is given on the player handout. Do we know the cost? |
