Ya, having to eat everything premiering at the convention is a huge hit from the judges. I wonder if they could start the con a day early for judges and slot zero and playtest a bunch of stuff to help ameliorate it, and maybe do an after con special for the judges like they have done in the past at certain (rare) historic events

Playtesting at the Con hardly hardly leaves much time to review or adapt the material based on feedback..I think that's probably impractical.

Zero slots are always welcome. I don't know a single judge who isn't happy to enjoy them when offered. But again, if the zeroes are on site the day before, then presumably all the judges would have read the mods before hand. Usually judges want the zero slots to experience the mod before they read and run it...

I may be in the minority but I am usually happy to "eat" mods as long as I'm essentially getting the same cert for it. That's standard practice in living campaigns, so I usually don't mind that. My big concern is 6 different slots in two days including a BI and whatever the special event turns out to be. Yowza. That's a lot!

I liked Hat's idea of multiple judges swapping in and out from a table. I don't know if it's too much of a headache to muster that way.But if I only had to commit for the BI (and maybe a mod on the other day) that would be WAY easier on me as a judge.

Henry's message on 9-24-19 stated that the ArcanisCon 2020 dates and location were tentative and subject to change.
Does anyone know if this has been firmed up yet?

Next question: How/when can we actually sign up for the event? Having arranged my air travel and hotel room, I'd like to make sure I can actually play when I arrive.

I'm finalizing how we're going to offer tickets.

I'm considering EventBrite. If anyone has any insights or experience using them, please let me know.

As soon as I peg that down, as well as our judge situation (I don't want to offer more tables than we have judges for), we'll let people buy tickets.
