You're the only reason I'm looking at a higher pledge amount (once pay day comes around). As long as the maps are scanned at least A1 (prefer A0) size for a really high quality print option.

At this early juncture, it appears the final piece will have a massive resolution, so high quality prints seem very likely.
As for the final dimensions -- well, I'm sure you'll find out more about that once the details have been hammered into place over the next few weeks to months. We're still a long way off from the Kickstarter closing, and the drafting starting, after all. But, once I get started with the project, I'll be happy to keep in touch with folks regarding the progress of the work, if enough people are interested.
