Hello everyone,
It is with heartfelt disappointment that I must announce that I will not be able to attend ArcaniCon this weekend.
As some may know, my mother has a terminal illness and while the doctors believed she still had more time, she is rapidly deteriorating and is not expected to survive much longer. I am taking leave from work to be with her and thus preventing me from attending.
I truly wish it were otherwise, as I enjoy meeting and speaking with all of you, but I just can’t do it this year.
I sincerely hope all of you understand and will accept my apologies for my absence.
Thank you.

Having lost mine recently, I cherish all the moments I was able to spend with her. I send my warmest thoughts and prayers to you and your family. Let us know if there is anything we can do to help you in this time.

I would wager we all know first had the regrets of (seemingly) not having spent enough time with loved ones. I say ‘seemingly’ because we all know, too, that there’s no such thing as ‘enough’. Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family Henry!!
