    Hello,

Just want a quick headcount of how many players attending Origins 2015 will be playing their Nierite Hero during the Arcanis events?

    Thanks in advance!

::hands up:: Also, that in no way sounds ominous.

Haakon Marcus val’Virdan, Divine Priest and Holy Judge of Nier from Coryan. If it matters, his back story says his father was a Virdan, his mother was Emman.

I would like to, just trying to confirm that I can get the time off work.

This question almost makes me want to bring eisener out of retirement. \"8-)\"

But then I think about it some more….

When i think of Nierites and the Blessed Land i of course think of Leonydas and the lost Citadel. If so then I feel like Henry should have finished that post with insane laughter while rubbing his hands together. Anyone bringing thier Nierite PC to Origins? BTW want to take a field trip to the Citadel of Silence?

    Nah. I’m sure that’s not it….carry on. \":D\"

Ah Eric, you know me so well…

But, while nothing would please me more than a Sunday trip to the Citadel of Silence, that’s an adventure for another day.

Nope, that’s not why I ask. I want to make sure that there are enough Nierites attending to see if I should flesh out this idea I have that would be of particular interest to them.

    Nothing nefarious, of course. \":-)\"

Henry my secondary character is a val Holryn with the val Emman bloodline who worships Nier. Would she count?

If she worships Nier, than I would say yes as he called for Nierites, not just scions of Nier.

I also recall 2-3 Nierites floating around ArcaniCon, but I’m not sure if they’re coming to Origins.

Whether Ursula plays or not depends on what they offer. I try to play the character that best fits the mod rather than try to be the square peg in a round hole as it were.

    Hello Michael,

Henry my secondary character is a val Holryn with the val Emman bloodline who worships Nier. Would she count?

I’ve been thinking on this and frankly, my intent was to find those who play val’Virdan, val’Emman and human Nierites.

Val’Holryn Heroes with the above traits are technically Nierites, but the val’Holryn have a whole other set of priorities going on.

By the same token I’d rather not leave anyone out if possible, so I’ll give first priority to those of the val’Virdan and val’Emman bloodline, then human Nierites and finally val’Holryn with Nierite bloodline abilities.

However, given the number who’ve said that they are attending, this might be a moot point.

Out of curiosity, where would Nol Dappans fall into this hierarchy?

It has been barely a day since you asked the question. I would expect a fair number of Nierites at Origins, at least a few of which do not come on the forums frequently.

Good point – I completely overlooked the Nol Dappans.

So, let’s reconfigure it as such:

Val’Virdan and val’Emman bloodline, then human Nierites and Nol Dappan dwarves and finally val’Holryn with Nierite bloodline abilities.

    I think that’s fair.

That’s fine by me. I generally play my primary Haakon val’Ishi at Origins. Given I just cracked 2.2 today and now have the Bloodline talent The Loving Caress of Our Goddess, Haakon is sure to be well received. \";)\" Now if I can get to 2.3 before the BI and get my Tier 2 healing spells I’m sure I’ll be even more popular. \":D\"

BTW Henry did you ever see the email I sent asking about Beltinian Exorcists? Just curious if if got through, I realize you’re really busy right now.

Sounds intriguing. My first Legends of Arcanis character hasn’t made a Blessed Lands appearance yet, but if there’s some Nierite lovin’ going on, I would love to bring Munkh Gal, my Erdukeen/Yhing Hir (Val) Shaman \":)\"

    Hello Paul,

I’m not sure that what I have in mind qualifies as “lovin'”, but…

It’s a toss up as your starting Hero will probably be Tier 1.5? This is going to be a rough BI, so I’m not sure if that would be a good idea. You may want to bring the big guns on this one.

    But it’s up to you.

    Thanks!

I left behind a PC in the Citadel of Silence. Don’t worry, my idea of lovin’ is perfectly in line with the world of Arcanis–Maximum fun, minimum life expectancy \":)\"
