Hi all,
Brand new to the Witch Hunter world and just picked up the 2nd ed and really like what I see. My question is that I see a lot of products for the 1st Ed out and I am wondering how compatible they are for the 2nd ed?May 5, 2014 at 3:49 pm #262011drafitParticipantHello,
Welcome to Witch Hunter. I hope you enjoy the game!
The 1st edition and 2nd edition rules are not 100% compatible. Though there is quite a bit of overlap between the two, there are parts of it that have been dramatically changed; for example: having a static defense rather than a dice pool defense and some of the monster stats.
Now, the good news is that many (and probably all) the 1st edition books are being converted into 2nd edition, with the four printed adventures being re-released as the Legion Cycle mini-campaign first.
Additionally, a brand new sourcebook, Cities of Mystery will be out this summer.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to post.

I look forward to each and every new release as it comes out.
I am really keen about this game since I have been following The Musketeers series from BBC as well as the new Salem series

I haven’t seen the Musketeers series, but I have seen the first episode of Salem and it is quite evocative of the Witch Hunter milieu, although far, far narrower in scope.
Nice tidbits on Witches, however.
