    Hi all

While in the car on the way home from work with Mr Deague (John) to play Arcanis (SP1-3), a thought occurred to me.

We know that there was a first emperor
It is strongly suggested that he is a val
While some information from that time is lost, other names are know of people from that time of around the same importance (Amerath the Sorcerer King, etc)

Then why is the name of the First Emperor not known? You would think that he would be such an important figure that name would be kept.

    Maybe the story is
He was not a val’assante, but is of a val family that has had every mention of it purged from the history books. But you can’t purge the fact there was a man who fought the devil king, forged a new empire and became the first emperor. So instead you just purge his name and put forward that his identity was lost in the mists of time.

I put forward that the first emperor was a val’cessari

Maybe this theory has already been put forward and dismissed, but what do people think?

My suspician, based on sly comments over the last decade, is that the Emperor was human and the val’Assante usurped the position for their own ends.

Ancient Secrets Left Unspoken touches on the story of the First Emperor. At lest one alleged witness from the time insists that he was a Val. Wish we’d see that line developed…

Its not impossible the First Emperor was val’Cessari … but you’d think liberating the world from a gigantic demonic invasion would clear the family name of lingering taint…from anyone who could even remember the family during the Shadowed Age.

    Yep.

    I got my timings wrong.

First emperor started the coryani empire. We were ousted in the 1st Imperialium.

    Still wouldn’t it be cool
