Here is what I came up with based upon the new errata, making the following assumptions:
1) Radius > Arc > Cone (Instead of Radius > Cone > Arc)
2) Self spells always produce “Self” spellsRange for each Base Spell is expressed as X’ (range), Y’ Radius (area), and Z (targets). For combining 2 Base spells first find the “Range” (range, area, targets) of the first Base spell on the left, then move along the right to the “Range” of the second Base Spell. The resultant entry is the “Range” of the Advanced Spell.
min(X) means take the minimum of the two “X” values of the 2 Base Spells
min(X,Y) means take the minimum of the “X” and “Y” values of the 2 Base Spells

you want to know what i disagree with on the chart, OK..
you dont explain your chart, are the ranges supposed to be listed in descending order? if so why is melee at the end?
according to your chart if you combine a self spell and a 25′ arc spell the new range is self (arc 25′), what does that even mean?
so i disagree with your entire “self column”
and the rest of the notation i don’t understand well enough to disagree with
March 11, 2014 at 8:30 pm #258490AnonymousInactiveI’ve now updated the explanation. It would have been simpler if you’d said “I don’t understand the chart overall” instead of saying you disagree with me. I had said multiple times, “Self” column would be “Self” all the way down.
Let me know if the image above (Which is huge, I know) helps illustrate.
March 11, 2014 at 8:32 pm #258491AnonymousInactive… grumble i did say that
I dont understand your table, because you seem to mix and match ranges and areas

And I said many times “Self” combines with all spells to be “Self” and you still asked about it. Let’s just draw a line and start over.
Do you understand the chart? Do you agree with each combination? Do you find it useful?

March 11, 2014 at 8:45 pm #258495AnonymousInactiveany particular reason you dont make one end of the large end and make all things progress that way?
March 11, 2014 at 8:48 pm #258497AnonymousInactiveIt’s a ‘matrix’ with the same options going down and across. I’m not sure what you’re asking. I will lay it out better if/when we get to a point of agreement on the entries.

and you dont mirror your chart on the flip side
March 11, 2014 at 8:58 pm #258503AnonymousInactiveThe variables represent numbers X’ = 15′, 30′, 45′ etc., Y’ Radius = 10′ Radius, 60′ Radius, and Z Targets = 1 Target, 2 Targets.
Where you see min(X,Y)’ that means the result is the minimum of X and Y, etc.
I was providing formulas for combining 2 spells. The ‘mirrored part’ would be a duplicate of the lower half and only serve to crowd it more and make it harder to read.
I’ll be honest, I don’t find it hard to read but I’m an engineer at heart. I’ll wait to see what others think of the layout before I change it.
However, I’m more interested in whether I have the combinations resulting in the right “Range”. If you can’t make that determination because the layout is that confusing, I’ll see what I can do.
