Guys, I am looking at my vacation schedule for next year. Is there a plan for an Arcanicon next year?
August 4, 2017 at 9:18 pm #275742frootsnaxParticipantI like totally heard from this guy who used to date this girl that I kinda know that like Arcaniscon … which is totally awesome … is going to be held in Las Vegas. Swear by Larissa that’s the scoop.
(Crosses fingers).

Like really? I’m totally like, WOW! This is like. AW’SOM! Like I will be like planning my vacation time and be all like. Super!
August 7, 2017 at 8:12 pm #275753drafitParticipantHello everyone,
I’ve just been informed that there will not be an ArcaniCon scheduled for 2018.
August 7, 2017 at 9:14 pm #275754frootsnaxParticipantOuch! That’s good for my finances I guess. But will be sad not to see everyone at “our” con. It’s nice to get most of the serious Arcanis players under one roof playing together.
August 8, 2017 at 2:30 am #275755PCI_AdminKeymasterThat’s …unexpected. What cause?
August 9, 2017 at 4:37 am #275756frootsnaxParticipantThat’s a good question. Arcaniscon has always been run by members instead of PCI. Hopefully Matt, Melinda or Cody will post something. They were instrumental in the last Arcaniscon.
August 9, 2017 at 7:33 pm #275757AnonymousInactiveAlthough it saddens me that there will not be an ArcaniCon 2018, many of us players still owe a great deal of gratitude to the organizers, writers, and GMs who have made past ArcaniCons such enjoyable events. Thank you.
August 9, 2017 at 10:35 pm #275758frootsnaxParticipantGood thought. +1
August 10, 2017 at 12:28 am #275759AnonymousInactiveI second that motion!
August 10, 2017 at 2:34 am #275760AnonymousInactiveTo be perfectly frank and blunt, the reason we will not be having Arcanicon next year is that we have no writers. These large events take a TON of manhours to write and are a huge commitment. We had no one volunteer to wrestle with that beast for next year and none of us want to “phone it in” given that people will be spending precious cash and vacation time to attend.
August 10, 2017 at 6:55 am #275761PCI_AdminKeymasterHuh.
What kind of writing? Mods? Scripting BI’s? Mind elucidating a little?
September 28, 2017 at 10:50 am #275821AnonymousInactiveThank you for the update. This is sad news.

Just read this, kinda late to the party, but I wanted to express my thanks for this sentiment. It shows a commitment to quality over quantity and the experience for attendees over cash (not that anyone actually made money on Arcanicon). Plus, now there’s one less stressor in your lives to deal with!
My thanks to everyone that worked so hard to provide a great gaming experience in past Arcanicons!!
November 12, 2017 at 4:06 am #275872AnonymousInactiveWell, if you put Arcaniscon somewhere I could get to (Florida),I’d be willing to write a whole thing. I’ve always wanted to do a special event.
