Q: Is Artisan (Metalwork) the same as Artisan (Blacksmith) or does it replace all metal – based Artisan skills from the core book (it seems to imply this is the case)? If it does not replace them, will Artisan (Armorsmith) or Artisan (Weaponsmith ) count as Artisan (Metalwork) for purposes of inscribing runes?
A: No, being a master craftsman takes a LOT of dedication which is why most of than simply do
not adventure, as they don’t have the time to improve their combat or even social skills.

    ARPG 143

Artisan is a collection of sub-skills with several specializations: Alchemy, Armorsmithing, Blacksmithing, Bower/Fletcher, Brewing, Forging Documents, Gunsmith, Leatherworking, Jewelry, Painting, Tailoring, and Weaponsmithing.

So I have multiple minds about this:

    My opinion:
I think the answer should be some form of yes. particularly in the light that Heroes in the campaign are not going to be allowed to take that path/ or talents. (and Tony might need to jump in here on this because we might need an updated campaign guide to go along with these rules changes)

    OR
Artisan Metalwork, deserves a write up in an upcoming book to differentiate it from blacksmithing / armorsmithing/ weaponsmithing/ jewely(smithing) much like what was done for Herbalism and Healing regarding Herbs in CoH
