    \":P\" I sat on my hands patiently through Monday and Tuesday like a good boy. But I saw today that Henry had a brief update for Cthulhu which is getting a Kickstarter sometime this fall. That’s just too much for my impulse control so I’m just stirring the pot a little here too…

    Hello,

    I was hoping to have the Sorcerous Pacts PDF ready for everyone by now, but the person who does the layout is unavailable for a few days more. All the art and manuscript is done, so once it’s laid out, I’ll be sending it off to all the backers.

    Over the month of August, the last two Special Tables were run and I believe everyone had a good time. A final online table will be run later this month (assuming everyone can make it) for those couple of players that were unable to attend either Origins or Gen Con.

    As for the actual Blessed Lands book, it obviously won’t be ready this month. The truth of the matter is that while there are enough words to fill a 128 page book, I feel it needs further material. I could put out something now that would certainly pass muster for most, but not for me. I don’t plan on writing a Volume Two of the Blessed Lands sourcebook, so I need to pack everything in here now.

    For example, I’m working on a Tultipet entry as well as adding more specific locales in and around the First City, among other things.

    So you may ask, “So when can I expect it”? I don’t have a definite date yet. I’ll probably add an additional 20k words to the manuscript, in addition to the 16 pages of Bestiary which will make this 128 page book at least 160 pages in length. That takes a bit of time and until I have a final rough draft, I can’t begin to speculate on a release date. However, I can assure you that I am diligently working on it.

    I apologize for the delay, but I hope that you’ll agree that a better book is worth the wait.

    In the meantime, I’ll fire off the Sorcerous Pacts PDF as soon as it’s done, which I hope shouldn’t be more than a couple of weeks at the most.

    Any news/updates for those of us with shoppes in the First City? Are those going in the book or just campaign specific?

    Hello John,

    They will go in the book, but I want to finalize that section for word count, etc. before I add the shops.

    As long as we get occasional updates on where things stand, I can absolutely wait…especially for “Storytime with Uncle Henry goodness.” Getting more is worth the wait! Although Henry’s comment about a Codex of Faith has me eagerly awaiting a book for my divine casters…. \":D\"

    I just sent out the first chapter of the book to the backers, which is by far the longest – the history of the Blessed Lands and the First City.

    Since I had all the art in for that section, I figured it would be a nice holiday gift to send it out.     That said, Leonydis’ expression on page 30 is pretty amusing. Not a critique, it is just the artist got him on one of ‘those’ moments \";)\"

    On a side note, does this mean we finally have an image of what Tukufu (val Holryn) looks like on page one? \":P\" I’d say it was Kelb (Harliquinn), but the lack of wings disputes that \";)\"

    Well, as far as I know, Tukufu is an Altherian, so this is probably some other scholar.

    Great to have the first chapter of the Blessed Lands source book! It’s great. I did notice this on page 19: “(For details on the gifts of the Gods, see page XX)” I assume that XX should have a page number, and we’ll have a list of the gifts of the Gods? I’m so excited!
