    I see the spellcasting restrictions for male Ssressen added match those Cody posted back in May. When talking to Henry and Pete at Origins, they seemed to agree this was overly harsh and (I thought) indicated that the Ssethregore book would have a different version of restricted spellcasting for male Ssressen (possibly the version they asked me to send them or possibly something else).

  • Will Ssethregore have the exact same restriction that is in the Campaign Guide?[/*:m]
  • If so, why the reversal?[/*:m]
  • If not, why put this version in the Campaign Guide when Ssethregore should be out soon?[/*:m]

    This version of restricted spellcasting not only restricts casting, it completely destroys the Talent cost balance for spellcasting (and completely destroys any character that is affected by the ruling).

If Henry and Pedro told you differently, this was not transmitted to the Campaign Staff. Additionally, these spell casting restrictions were very specifically and clearly stated to the Campaign Staff when this document was written.

Hello Steve,

If you’llm recall our conversation, I mentioned that the I had originally enviosned the Templars having their own set of spells they were taught, but that this didn’t get into the original Core book. What we (you, Peter and I) discussed was a possible stop gap measure until ARG 2.0 came out.

However, I wanted to take advantage of the fact that Ssethregore will be released soon-ish and will be including said Templar rules (for the ss’ressen) there.

When Ssethregore is released, they will supercede the appropiate rules for the Campaign Doc just released.

Thank you for the update Henry. I look forward to seeing the new rules. I was mostly just concerned that the “final” rules would be what’s in the Campaign Guide (which I do feel destroys any character (including mine) that was created under the original rules).
