Was it intentional for the two Centurion Paths (Officer and Master Tactician) to have the same requirements, meaning you don’t have to take them in a particular order, or is Master Technician meant to be a continuation of Officer?

To the best of my recollection, it was not intentional. I will add it to the errata list. For now…yes, you need Officer to qualify for Master Tactician

This was discussed two years ago and said not to be in error, then.

Do you have a link to that ruling? (I will look, but figured it might be handy to ask)

I’ve done a search of the forums and haven’t found it. If there’s a documented official answer I’m ok with it, but no other Path works that way and it would be very strange to set it up without calling it out specifically.

I have the same memory as Southernskies. This was discussed (no idea if it was these forums or if that’s yet another thread lost on the old forums) and it was stated that it was not an error and that they were intended to be “parallel” so you could take either one (there was some discussion about making them exclusionary of each other but I don’t think any conclusion was reached).

Found it – it’s buried in this thread. There was no official ruling and no real conclusion (it was mostly a discussion involving Southernskies, Hat, myself, and maybe a few others).

In which case I think we now have an official ruling (Officer is a prereq for Master Tactician)…

    Matt,

With the background present, do you want to go ahead and provide the official stamp with a note that the errata will be updated and we can lay this one to rest?

Correct…it is on my errata list. My answer from Monday stands. I am willing to change it if anyone can show me a previous ruling. But no other Paths are written like that…making me believe it is Tiered.
