I’ve noticed a few scenarios that have made me question concurrent results/effects during combat; example:

Say a player executes a Stunning Strike weapon trick and succeeds (or the Thunder rune or whatever). If that player also has the Exploit Advantage talent, do they also gain the bonus damage for the same attack that caused the Stunned condition? Or does the target have to have previously been Stunned before the attack roll in order to acquire the bonus damage?

    No.

The condition needs to be met when you make the attack, so they need to be already stunned.

Benefit: Any time you attack someone who is Stunned, you deal your Passive Insight as additional damage.

Agreed. The condition you want to exploit already needs to in effect.
