Our confusion stems from the Super-Sense power, specifically the wording for super hearing. Basically, one of my players insists that the wording lends itself to “Super-Hearing” being a single power, with all the types of hearing being inherently present (Sonar, high and low frequency, and radio). My interpretation is that Super-Hearing is the broad power, and you have to pick whatever sub-type at the time of character creation. In essence, you don’t get every power when you pick Super-Hearing, you take Super-Hearing and select which sub-type of hearing you want. Of course, you can buy more than one, but you have to actually spend points on them.

We wanted an official ruling, thanks for your help guys.

    Hello,

You are absolutely correct; it bestows one type of hearing, not all of them.

your ruling is correct, the player needs to pick a sub-type…

now, remember… you can also allow your player to “learn” the other sub-types as emulated powers.
