I keep coming back to part of the Blessed Lands prophecies:
The last was first and lost to us before she was found
Only the invisible knew her name
Until the God Emperor stood this ground.I feel pretty confident that the Destroyer is Calemnon and he’s coming out of Dhar Zhan Vor. Lots of foreshadowing and circumstantial evidence. But if this is true it’s not clear to me what Lianni’s name has to do with anything OR how Calemnon would learn it.
But we do know there are powerful psions of some stripe in DZV due to the Tome of DZV and the giant Crystal Psi Golems that guard at least part of the borders. What if the people in there are Val Cessari living in some kind of hidden creepy fortress of solitude or city states? And they come with Calemnon as psionic shock troops?
If that did happen does anyone have an idea how to prevent our name from being further blackened?

While I won’t comment on the above, I can say that life for the val’Cessari is going to become quite interesting. It may not be readily evident, as befits the Invisible Kings and Queens, but the pay off should be enjoyable.

Does this also mean that we’re going to be ‘outed’ with a proper chapter in the Blessed Lands book?
Although based on speculation, Astra might get the chance of redeeming the family dishonour by killing Calmemnon (stupid not-Calcestus getting hold of the child and making a mess of things).

Poop. Nothing like a “kind word” straight from the horses mouth to make you dig a bomb shelter in your fictional backyard…
