So I’ve been wanting to make a duplication hero but I have to wonder….does duplication duplicate all items worn and on person? Like, if he/she was using a firearm, would the firearm be duplicated???

    Thanks \":)\"

It depends on the type of campaign being run.

In a gritty campaign, I would rule that no – only the body (not even the clothes) would be duplicated.

In a 4-color one, focusing more on the super hero aspect, I would say that all mundane items duplicate.

I try and keep it as simple as possible and allow for any mundane items. But if it fires a bullet you have 1 less bullet to use. Kinda a quantum entanglement scenario, but it makes it so the game isn’t slowed down for the player recalculating attacks/defenses and it doesn’t give them “free” resources by allowing them to just have their duplicates use consumables.

Hard and fast on the wording it doesn’t say, but that was also the intent. If anything it leans toward letting them have a copy by saying uses the same sheet with the few exceptions.

Seems like a reasonable compromise for ease of play. 4 duplicates firing 4 bullets each; remove 16 bullets from your Hero sheet!

I have a Threat I’m writing currently that is based on this idea. I have the Duplicates running as a Mob to ease the die-rolling.

How do the “Duplicate” power and the “Toughness” advantage interact?

For example, if a character has the Toughnesss advantage and also has the Duplicate power at rank 3, how much Stamina and Fortitude do that character’s duplicates have? (Let’s say the character’s own Fortitude – including Toughness – is 20.)

By a strict sequential reading, your Duplicates would have 9 Stamina (3 from Ranks, then apply all the Powers and Advantages that apply).

Unless backed up by good armour, they will still generally get ‘one-hit’.

Cool. 9 hits is still way better than 3 hits. I wasn’t sure in which order the items apply (i.e. whether the Toughness advantage applies before or after duplication).
