    I posted in someone else thread, but it occurs to me I should ask it directly here…

    Is it intentional that Elorii are 1 blood rank behind Val?
    Val get a free blood rank (2nd lvl) at level 3.
    However, Elorii don’t get that bonus rank.

    Is that intentional? Or just an oversight?

    Due to the method of creation of the two races, their bloodranks are not equivalent. In the mechanics they have similar function but are not meant to be a 1:1 identical metaphysical source.

    Hmm, I was hoping it was an oversight. Val are already the superior race \":(\"

    It does make the ability to use your blood rank in Elorii Elder paths a bit useless.
    Assuming you raise your blood rank every chance you get, you end up with an effective casting stat of 12 at lvl 1. 14 at lvl 4, 16 at lvl 8… etc.
    You are effectively ‘behind’ by a 2pt modifier, compared to another race.

    unless in the short term…

    the idea is, as you grow in bloodrank using your bloodrank becomes more and more feasible. its a long term goal not a short term goal.

    If you notice, Elorii have more racial traits then Val.. about equal to a bloodline power
