Something to consider with this new rule for Empathic link… whats to stop a caster from casting this spell on themselves to get a quick removal of an enemy’s empathic link off of them?

If it were me i would require the caster of the new empathic link to perform an Arcanum Action Skill Roll against the Passive Arcanum Value of the creature that cast the spell. If you are successful the spell is replaced.

    Page: 386 (Clarification)
    Empathic Link
    Add the following to, changes
    Duration: 24 Hours (D)
Add the following to the end of the spell’s Effect:
You may only maintain one Empathic Link at a time. If
you cast a new Empathic Link the new casting overrides the old
casting refreshing its duration or changing your target. If this
spell is cast on a target already under the effect of an Empathic
Link, even if cast from another caster, the new casting over rides
    the active spell

I think he’s saying “That’s a creative use of the spell so he doesn’t feel a change is needed.”

I wouldn’t think casting this on yourself should be an issue for logic reasons. I think like Pedro said, a cool way to get around the spell is to cast it on an ally though. As a GM I would never allow someone to empathic link themselves as a target.
