Doing a bit of background work on the Ashen Cross for my game and have a quick question about them. While their membership is “composed completely of devout, practicing Catholics,” everything about the order suggests that these members are all drawn from the clergy. Is this the case? Or can a member of the fellowship be from any background so long as they are Catholic? Do recruits who join the ranks take up the role of priest?
