    A’ight I can totally stand down on my thought that martial needs another minor talent

    I had forgotten about Advanced Armor Training as well and how powerful that is for a combat character. That’s *huge* with an Heirloom Armor for no bulk (The only downside to heavy armor). Now I could see a case for choosing EITHER Advanced Armor Training or Masterful Defense (Tier I).

    Martial – Additional Skills: Choose any four Combat or Physical skills.
    Arcane – ??
    Divine – ??

    and yeah Devin , this thread is really for long term 1.x types of suggestions, I dont know if they ever can be implemented, without something

    Arcane: Choose any 3 Lore Skills (giving 6 total). That’s all.
    Divine: Choose any 3 Social Skills (giving 6 total). Add: Gain Weapon Training in 1 weapon common to your starting nation.
    Martial: Choose any 4 Combat or Physical Skills (giving 6 total). Add: Gain either Advanced Armor Training or Masterful Defense (Tier I) to support heavy and light fighters.

    What about light armored characters? Both those talents are useless to them.

    Am I alone in thinking that a small bump to the talents for arcane and divine are in order also, to balance out the experts getting to break the rules?

    Why do you feel Martial, Divine and Arcane should get a sixth skill?

    i originally suggested weapon master for martial, spell affinity for arcane and (from John) a national weapon for divine

    It doesn’t have to be perfectly even with Expert. I think expert getting 1 more skill than everyone else is pretty much in line with what it’s suppose to do.

    I think talents for Arcane and Divine would put it more in line with Expert and Martial though.

    if expert weren’t better than everything else right now then i would agree with you, but they have way too much leway with what they can pick already and one skill point for the other ones isnt that big is it?

    Arcanum (any), Deceit, Stealth, and your passive Logic in Lore Skills
    Arcanum (any), Deity’s Favorite Skill, Knowledge (Religion), and your passive Logic in Social skills

    This is something I have been considering for the big update…

    I’m going to ask all of you a small favor.. we are encroaching upon the “big update” territory here.

    we all agree they advancements need a tweak

    but lets hold this off till the current pass of errata is out the door…

    BTW, someone mentioned there were not enough Divine talents..

    how do the rest of you feel about that?
