Folks, if there’s still room for me, I’d enjoy joining your BI game this weekend. I can play both Fri & Sat nights, and I’ve been setting up required accounts for on-line play; please pardon my being an on-line newbie.
Above was posted when I thought the game was this weekend (April 17-18), and I completely messed up the dates. See later post with full apology.
April 17, 2015 at 7:26 am #267402AnonymousInactiveWhen Akira says game is at “7pm CST”, I want to confirm if that’s really Central STANDARD Time or actually Central Daylight Time? Some people say ST out of habit when they really mean DT, and I don’t know whether Daylight Saving Time is observed where Akira lives.
April 17, 2015 at 11:56 am #267403AnonymousInactiveAlso note my post from earlier saying that I’ve got another player (chris) for the BI who will be running his gnome Temido. So I think that makes us a full table for the BI with David.
April 17, 2015 at 2:57 pm #267405AnonymousInactiveYay! I get to play the BI before Origins!

David, good question. I just assumed his “7pm CST” meant CDT…
April 17, 2015 at 3:00 pm #267406AnonymousInactiveIt is the appropriate letter combination for Manitoba, Canada.

Hmm. According to timeanddate.com, Manitoba is currently on CDT (as of Mar 8). Is the site wrong? Does Manitoba not use DST? I suppose things would be much clearer if everyone got used to using Olson timezone names (eg Americas/Chicago (instead of CST6CDT)). Can you tell I deal with time and date a lot at work?
It was even more “fun” when Australia used to use mostly the same abbreviations as the US for timezones…
April 17, 2015 at 10:56 pm #267409AnonymousInactiveHuh, that is the first time I’ve seen CDT. Had to look it up, apparently just refers to the fact that we are currently in daylight savings. I’ve always just seen it referred to as CST.
I am currently GMT – 5 hours
April 17, 2015 at 11:45 pm #267410AnonymousInactiveOops–I just realized in my mad rush to get ready for this BI that I had the wrong weekend. Mea culpa.

I was thinking it was the current weekend, which is really April 17-18. Because I had the wrong dates for this game, I also committed to a trip out of town with friends for the weekend of April 24-25. It sounds like you are able to proceed without me (right?), whereas the others are now counting on me for contributing to the trip next weekend.
I am sorry that I totally messed this up and now can’t play this weekend or next. I wish that having a cold and being in a funk were valid excuses, but it really just comes down to stupidity on my part. At least this motivated me to update my PC and learn Roll20.
April 17, 2015 at 11:52 pm #267411AnonymousInactiveThis is ‘that gnome’ that Ken mentioned. I’m in for the BI.
Chris
April 18, 2015 at 4:26 am #267412AnonymousInactiveLooks like we’re at 5 players with Chris. Hopefully that’s enough to do the BI (I think it should be).
April 18, 2015 at 8:33 am #267413AnonymousInactiveI am willing to run it with five, but you would be better off with six. Hopefully we’ll get one more signed up in the next week.
April 24, 2015 at 2:36 am #267474AnonymousInactiveIf anyone wants to log in early to set up macros, you can access the Roll20 account here.
April 24, 2015 at 6:39 pm #267483AnonymousInactiveHaving not used Roll20 previously, are there any macro’s you would recommend?
‘THAT’ gnome
April 24, 2015 at 6:52 pm #267485AnonymousInactiveFrom memory, I created ones for my common attacks (hit & damage), a few for other skills (most of my stats are d8 so easy to just do “2d10+d8+2” and “2d10+d8+3” or whatever), and one or two others that I’m forgetting right now.
That said, there can be a lot of variables that are hard to include for all attack options (Wolf Pack, Stances, etc).
April 24, 2015 at 9:11 pm #267493AnonymousInactiveI will try to get on 30 minutes early to help with setting up macros and whatnot. Generally you would want your most commonly used attacks and skill rolls. Being a battle interactive you probably won’t need Persuasion, but Mettle might come up once or twice
