Friday morning gaming at ArcaniCon

Love to but I get off work at 11PM EST in SW Ohio on Thursday night. Our plan is to grab some sleep and leave early Friday morning for the drive up to Chicago. Our best guess is we will get there around noonish so any early slots are a no go. It’s all good though we’ll play them once they are released to the general public. Out of curiousity would the Novo Cormata mod be okay for a val’Holryn with the val’Emman bloodline? She does follow Nier and does not advertise the actual bloodline she possesses. Although it would be pretty obvious if she uses her bloodline powers.

The other characters are a Beltinian priest, an Undir shaman, and a Tutipetan Holy Champion of Neroth. Any of those best fit for the mods? I prefer not be the square peg in the round hole.

So which of the characters I mentioned in the earlier email would be the best fit for the two mods? I’m really curious, mostly because I prefer to try to play mods where my character might have “skin in the game” as it were. Playing a mod with the wrong character is at best boring at worst a disaster…depending on the character. For instance my Milandisian characters won’t set foot in Canceri, whereas my Undir shaman or Tultipetan Dwarf might. I played Espionage with my Beltinian and spent most of the mod sitting and biting my lip….to act in character would have derailed the mod for everyone and gotten the character killed…no fun there. On the other hand the GM gave me kudos for roleplaying so go figure….

It looks like Cody’s game is full but Eric G’s run of A2-HP02 has space. Can I join that, please? I’ve not played it nor it’s sequel.

There’s the question of whether any of my PCs are more suitable than others for this mod (or any other I play) with it’s story (and secondary is party composition):

David – you’re in. I’ve edited the table list to include you, and we’re glad to have you aboard. If you’re sticking around for Sunday gaming we may try to do the sequel then. We can figure out characters then when we know the entire table composition.

That said, we are still looking for more players for the A2-HP02. Come one, come all! Some of the current players are judges who have played it before. They would step aside for anyone wanting to get it in. So please let me know if you’re interested!

I got this request from my friend David Bauder.

Hi Matt. Is there anyone who can start running the mods early? (Starting at 9 AM) You know Jen had the aneurism and so has some focus issues and needs to start early to be sharp. We would be happy to feed any judge who is nice enough to help us out. We already have a table of three and can take others. I REALLY appreciate it, Jen has not been able to participate in con’s for years and this would give her the chance to get back into Arcanis again, which she loves and misses.
