If possible guys, can we keep only 1 write-up with rules per topic (on the first page)? People should post comments, but we should just edit that first post. The 3 Sisters thread and Val’Baucisz thread havee so many cut/paste/changes, I have no idea where we are at with them. Maybe 2 threadds per topic? 1 for discussion, and 1 for where we stand with decisions?

Once I get an approval from Henry, I can put together a shared Google Docs spreadsheet for the Dev Team which will spell out the laundry list of PC races, possible paths, bestiary-type entries, etc for the Blessed Lands sourcebook and beyond (I have been keeping a running list from recent meetings). From there, people can volunteer which crunch material they would like to work on (so we are not doubling up on efforts), suggest new ideas and provide its status, real time, on the spreadsheet.. We can utilize the forums here for feedback on the individual entries until a final draft is approved by Henry which is then marked on the spreadsheet as complete..
If I get the go ahead, I can create the spreadsheet and start inviting everybody to it.

Look forward to a Google spreadsheet. You may also want to look at a Dropbox account so people can upload word documents to a common folder.
December 18, 2013 at 5:02 pm #253688AnonymousInactiveIf Henry doesn’t like Google Docs suggestion, I’d like to suggest that rather than have a “finalized” version as the first post of a thread that we have a separate thread for finalized/updated versions of crunch, with the version number in the title. (Although I do strongly like the Google Docs idea if we can do that. Google Docs support multiple editors very nicely.)
My reasoning for the alternative to keeping the most recent version in the first post is that by doing so, only the creator of each particular thread can make edits to the original crunch. By allowing multiple versions, each with a version number in the title of the thread, multiple people can propose edits. (It’s still a bit clunky. And I do like the Google Docs idea better. But I think it might make for a more collaborative effort unless the original poster for the thread is on the forums a lot.)

After speaking with Henry, we are going to go with the current format we have now, 1 thread per PC Race, Path, etc. I do like your alternative idea. I am wondering if the original post per thread idea can be in a “Sticky” format which as comments and changes are made, that original sticky is then edited. Just a thought.
I am not a forum guru per say but can a “sticky” be added to a thread after the thread has been created? For instance, Henry creates a thread post asking us to put together a bestiary-esque entry for Rat Men. Can someone afterwards post the Ratmen draft in a Sticky within that same thread?
February 13, 2014 at 1:59 am #256689AnonymousInactiveCan we get “DONE!” topics locked by someone with appropriate powers? This way (short of a specific word) we have an immediate way of knowing that the discussion is over (until someone unlocks it
).February 13, 2014 at 5:38 pm #256739AnonymousInactiveI agree. It would make things easier while sifting through the threads for legitimate open items.
November 4, 2014 at 10:33 pm #265180AnonymousInactiveTrying not to put too many ‘non-official’ threads into this forum, so I figured I’d put this here:
I have heard some comments (such as jwboyce1957’s) where some of the kickstarter backers are starting to get impatient with waiting for their rewards. In order to take some weight off PCI’s back, could we be given the Elorii talents and “reborn” characters special items/any outstanding details? The second is meant to be a literal translation (within reason) of existing material, so we wouldn’t be creating anything (or much) new.
Just a thought to allow PCI to focus on the actual BOOK portion of the Kickstarter (and any Strange Aeon stuff that may come up).
