So, we have a couple of things that can actually detect the bloodline. Namely the Val’Baucisz can though a bloodline power and I believe the Sisters of Nier can also detect the bloodline at will.
Any thoughts on how we obfuscate this?

But I agree, completely, that we don’t want other people making that decision for us. Neither the val’Baucisz nor the Sisters. At present I don’t think the sisters are a practical concern. Just because they had a prestige class ability in the d20 incarnation of the game doesn’t mean they’ll have the same powers when/if a path is created to reflect them.
I am less confident with the val’Baucisz bloodline. In general I think bloodline abilities which appear to translate more faithfully.
At present I know of no magical items or spells that would counter this…though I’ll go back and look.
Ranks in deceit with a pre developed cover story would be useful. A quasi plausible lie for Tukufu would probably involve a curse while (tomb raiding) seeking information about the Blood War resulting in a curse/haunting by “the presumably now extinct val ‘Cessari family…which you must be reading.” In many social situations the val’Baucisz could probably be denounced as unreliable do to alcohol/drugs or even outright fabricators. We are lucky in the near universal scorn (and some fear) in which they are held.
I forget how their bloodline ability actually worked. Did they need a sample of the targets blood to analyse? Perhaps strategies could be devised around discrediting the sample. Or not ever letting them get a sample. Or slipping them some other sample.
Will think on the question and post any other useful thoughts.

But being the primary author who utilizes the val’Baucisz and a player of the val’Cessari…it appears I too am walking a fine line.
. Well, at least I don’t get to play what I write. Enjoy my sequel to Once Upon a Time in Metra!
