Previously, whenever I’ve read the linguistics talent, I’ve always thought that after the first time, you get your passive logic in additional languages. But I just reread it and believe I’ve been wrong. Here is what it says on pg 200:
Linguist [Skill]
Requirements: Linguistics as a trained skill
Benefit: You gain +1 to all Linguistics Action Skill Rolls; you also learn an additional language.
Special: You may take this Talent multiple times; but instead of gaining a bonus to your Linguistics skill you learn a number of additional languages equal to your Passive Logic
Value. So, instead of getting the +1 you get your passive logic in languages – but that doesn’t negate the rest of the sentence which gives you one more as well! So if you were taking it a second time, it would read, ““You learn a number of additional languages equal to your Passive Logic; you also learn an additional language.” So you really learn your passive logic +1 in languages whenever you take the talent after the first time, right?

With a sweep of his hat,
Paul
