    All,

I’m trying to figure out what mods have been released to look for what my family still needs to play when it’s available. I’m struggling with filling in some of the gaps and I’m hoping a kind soul or two can help with it. Here’s what I’ve got:

    A3 AP1 Ripples of Fate
HP 3-1 Portents and Ill Omens (DriveThruRPG)
    HP 3-2 Divided Loyalties (DriveThruRPG)
HP 3-3 Raiders of Maalioch/Invasion of Entaris (DriveThruRPG)
    HP 3-4 Caveat Emptor (DriveThruRPG)
HP 3-5 Spear of the Past (DriveThruRPG)
    HP 3-6
    HP 3-7
    HP 3-8
HP 3-9 The Bitter Root of War
HP 3-10 Snuff the Ember, Kill the Flame
    HP 3-11
HP 3-12 The Cold Hole of Memory (ArcanisCon 2020)
    HP 3-13

    SP 3-1 Sweet Sorrow (DriveThruRPG)
SP 3-2 Night of the Wolf (DriveThruRPG)
SP 3-3 Ten Thousand Years (DriveThruRPG)
    SP 3-4
    SP 3-5
    SP 3-6
SP 3-7 Faith by Sword and Sea
    SP 3-8 Weighing the Scales
    SP 3-9
SP 3-10 Death in the Family (ArcanisCon 2020)

    Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

With a sweep of his hat,

    Paul

    Hello Paul,

    Here you go:
SP 3-9 I don’t remember which one this is as I’m not at my PC.

My goodness Henry, you did that from Memory? Amazing.

I agree, that is amazing to do from memory.

I did not go to the last few winter fantasy conventions, but I remember some 5e modules premiering at them, at the very least a couple revolving around the Undir. Are those on this list, and if so, which ones are they? If not, what are the plans for the 5e mods from the last few winter fantasies?

    Hello Ken,

If I remember correctly, the adventures that premiered at Winter Fantasy that we haven’t released yet are:Fair is Foul and Foul is Fair and Dagger in the Shadows.

As far as their general release, all I can say is that I’m trying to release the backlog as quickly as possible.

Due to the wish that everyone is caught up on the War of the Paragons story arc as quickly as possible, I’m working on the Hard Points first.

Thanks Henry. One further question – for the 2 Year 3 soft points that were originally ARG Year 2 SP, can they be played in their original versions by characters who haven’t yet played them or do they require modification for being Year 3 now?

I’m not sure I understand your question.

They were originally released in ARG during the Coming of the Destroyer story arc?

And were released in 5E for the War of the Paragons story arc?

And you want to do what exactly? I’m not following.

    Hi Henry,

Sorry for the confusion. The two mods were originally designated as follows:

A2SP07 Salvage Operations (designed for Tier 2)
A2SP15 A Dance Amidst the Bones (High Tier – geared for a group of 5 Tier 3.1 characters)

With the retirement of all Year 1 and Year 2 mods, all ARG characters are going to be at least Tier 3.1. Can the original versions of the mods be run and the original certs used with the GM adjusting the difficulty appropriately for the characters appropriately, or do we need to wait for revised versions of the mods to be released and run?

Obviously Henry’s opinion counts for a lot more than mine, but I would assume that the year 2 mods are still legal to play until they are retired. I don’t think that has happened yet. I haven’t seen any notifications. (Unlike the Crusade mods which have been shut down) I think these mods were only released in A:RPG so obviously we aren’t talking about 5E.

They are not tiered for current level PCs. A judge probably would need to buff up the opposition a little to deal with high Tier 3/low Tier4 characters to keep combat from being speed bumps.

    My thoughts on the matter.

    Hello Paul,

    Ah, now I understand.

Let me first correct you on one thing: The Coming of the Destroyer story arc adventures have not been retired.

The issue that forced us to take the adventure distribution system down was one of web security and integrity. It is my intention to make those available again for general release.

So to your specific question of running them at a higher tier, technically no, as it’s against the campaign rules.

    Here’s why:

The volunteers that we have for the campaign, specifically the ARG campaign, is low. We just had a new volunteer come on board, but even so, there’s not enough man-hours to get everything done.

For example, one thing that i think 5E does well is that side box with notes on how to ramp the adventure’s difficulty up or down. I think that would be a great thing to include with the ARG adventures, so any originally designed for Tier II can be played with higher tiered characters.

But we just don’t have the bandwidth to do this, so they get put on a ‘to-do’ list and they keep getting bumped down as higher priority items get added.

Why higher priority? Because we reasoned that those adventures have been up for quite a few years and that anyone who wanted them, downloaded them a while back.

Now, this opens up an avenue of opportunity for those who would like to help the campaign out.

I don’t want to specifically put Paul on the spot, as he has a large family and the obligations on his time is high, (I presume), so this is a blanket ‘HELP WANTED’ ad.

If any of you would like to help with the ARG (or 5E, for that matter) campaigns, we would LOVE to have your help!

We have older adventures that need to be updated (as noted above) and new adventures that need to be statted in both systems.

If interested, please email me at PCIHenry@gmail.com with what you are interested in helping out with.

Additionally, and I know I’ve asked this before, if anyone would like to write an adventure, we
would love to have you. Any adventure released will be sold on DrivethruRPG with the net proceeds (Drivethru takes 30%) will be split 50/50. Payment will come directly from Drivethru.

In any case, sorry for the ‘behind the scenes look’, but I hope that answered your question and gave you insights as to the reasoning behind it.
