At creation the base cleric class in the ACS only gets light armor & no shields (though a lot of deity options augment that if you choose cleric at 1st level). I just noticed on page 232 however that if you instead multi-class into cleric after first level you get light & medium armor plus shields.
That seems odd and worthy of errata. Is the multi-classing table correct?
It seems to me that it would be better if someone instead got light armor and proficiency in religion.
The multi-class table is correct, but remember you may be restricted to what armor and weapons (if any) you may use by your aspect.
