What is up with the Emerald Society Leadership in the First City? First the disastrous opening of an uncleared item in public – with the obvious lethal effects, and now, somehow, an item of Anshar entrusted to the Society is found in possession of someone known to be inimical to the worship of Anshar? How did such an item slip from our grasp to theirs? And again, with horrible consequences! (and then lost afterward)

Considering recent prophecies, I had assumed the Society would be moving most materials out of the City in preparation for “access issues” to the First City in the near future. If this is not the case, I think that many of us should encourage the Society to do so now, post-haste and as privately as possible. I know I am willing to act as a courier to move valuables to safer climes.

If, for the love of the Gods, we find in the future that the Society has a key of man, and they failed to bury it as far from the current situation as possible, I will be truly, truly pissed with our leadership. I am really starting to wonder about the trustworthiness of our own secret leaders, as I see the forces moving in secret around us. I trust in our mission, but how do I know that our secret leaders are really moving us toward our stated mission, rather others they may potentially have? When I see the rewards from our missions turn up in the wrong hands enough times, I have to ask how often can it be because of mistakes, and when it might be by design?

I hear Lineaus val’Sheem is just shocked that anyone could doubt his commitment to the society and his leadership. Shame he sent the rescue party a couple of days too late to save the last team of archaeologists from thos Cyclopes. Not his fault at all…

Kavaris or Kelb probably would have sent them in time… you know if we ever establish new leadership.
